The Banff Mountain Film Festival

Discover one of the largest and most prestigious mountain adventure film festivals in the world. Many venues in Belgium, from 25 to 21/04/16.

The festival gets its name from the village in which it is held, Banff. Bannf is located in Canada's largest natural park in the Canadian Rockies.

Since 1976 the festival annually rewards the best international adventure and mountain films, both amateur and professional. Initially there are between 350 and 400 films. A professional jury retains around 60 films, with ultimately 13 receiving the legendary "awards".

At the end of the festival, the best films go on tour around the world to be presented in 42 countries. A journey that attracts some 600.000 festival goers over 750 evenings of projections. For the 6th year in a row, the Banff is back in Belgium.
