Situated in a charming 17th century house, the Brussels Lace and Costume Museum is a museum that must not be missed!

Costumes and waistcoats, ball gowns or mini-skirts, old and contemporary lace, embroidery, fashion accessories and original documents are showcased in annual themed exhibitions such as: 'The Roaring Twenties', 'Children First', 'Brussels Lace' or even 'The Sixties - The Colours of Liberation'.

The main theme of these exhibitions is civilian clothing and fashions from the 18th century to the present day. Emphasis is put on Brussels lace, which is famous all around the world.

Three times a year, famous artists like Diane Didier, Isabelle Baines or Geneviève Kesteloot, along with Contemporary Textile Creation students, present their work in a temporary exhibition room.

Closed on Wednesday at 01/01, 01/05, 01/11, 11/11 and 25/12.
Ticket office closes 15 minutes before the museum's closing time.

Guided tours for groups can be organised every day except Wednesday by visiting the museum website

Guided tours need to be booked at least 15 days in advance. Payment is to be in cash at the museum itself.

Children under 6 years of age: free of charge and free at the weekend for Children under 18 years old.
